The Third Bottle of Life

"Get Together" to Enjoy the Third Bottle of Life!

Here's an update of our get-together. It's on Saturday, August 28 at Nestor & Connie's place in Pine Brook. Try to come by noon, and according to Nestor we can stay as long as we want.

Here's what we are bringing:

Jun & Babie - Chicken asado, tortang talong, fresh fruits, soda
Rudy & Olive - special pancit, beef goulash (gulay or gulat!, however the dish turns out to), red wine
Roland & Tess - daing na bangus, dinuguan, karyoka (dessert)
Rolly & Sylvia - pinakbet, paella, Russian salad, rainbow jello (dessert), red wine
Nestor & Connie - appetizers and everything else needed for the party

Tom/Rosie and Rogie/Lynn - You are our guests. You do not have to bring anything. Just show up.

Please provide food warmers for your dishes if needed. If you do not have warmers, let us know so we can borrow from Connie.

If you have old frat photos, bring them.

Also, think of activities and entertainment we can do.

Can't wait for the party. I am sure it is going to be a blast.

See you all at the party.

Very appropriate for our Get-Together! Let the "Third Bottle of our Life" be the longest and may it last for many many more years!
Again, please arrive by noon. Don't miss the prayer before the meal to be led by. Rogie and the toast by Nestor. Please think of some games to play. Each couple should bring a prize - small inexpensive but usable things, e.g. bottle of wine, bag of nuts, scented candle, bag of cookies, chocolates, etc. Let's make this occasion a happy and memorable one.
    See you all on Saturday.

  3. Jun "Pogi" suggested that I book a room for the (September 4) night. Is he planning an after-function activity; or is he just concerned of my well-being?

For tomorrow's function (Get Together 4D 3rd Bottle), I'm not bringing the "beef goulash." I tried to experiment preparing the dish; and nobody in my household even tried to touch it. I tried to get them to taste the 'Hungerian Goulash' and they responded they're not hungry. The presentation was that bad; and I don't want you to go through the same harrowing culinary experience. I would, however, still bring a dish of beef prepared in a different format.

    See you tomorrow!
