The Saturday Luau

Hello everybody, The photo below was taken with everyone in it. It looks like everybody is very happy. In the words of Jimmy, it was with "great pressure" to host the party. nestor
Good day brothers and sisters. We're looking at the pictures with great amazement, admiration and envy. All the couples are lovely and gorgeous. However, it would have been better if the men were in their "native" Hawaiian grass "kilt" attire, it would look realistically exquisite; and to borrow Bro. Rudy's word...more pa-"ikote". We feel so envious not having joined the party. However, it appears that some goodluck charm has befallen us from joining the event, otherwise Lynn and I would have been the thirteenth couple. Regards to all especially to Samot(my long lost bro.). God bless Rogie and Lynn
Olive commented, "Nothing can replace the joy and camaraderie among multi-decade friends. We missed Rogie and Lynn's company at the Luau!" That goes for you too, Tipin & Ampy, and Ronnie & Litz.
Thanks guys for another successful summer get-together. On behalf of the group, I would like to thank Nestor and Connie for hosting the event, for their hospitality and graciousness. What is a Luau without a "lechon"? Thanks to Mau/Zoray and Nestor/Connie for the delicious roast pig, a very pleasant surprise!. To Babie M. - thanks for the very impressive Hawaiian decors which she & Jun provided without cost to the barkada. Thanks Ben for the truly professional music. Thanks to Zoray; you single-handedly took care of the kitchen clean-up. To Liza & Jim, thank you for providing the professional entertainment portion of the program. All the dishes and desserts were delicious. Sylvia's birthday cake for the July celebrants was a hit! Thanks to all those who brought wine. Can't wait for the next year's event. Note about the photo above: Sorry Nestor & Jun - you were not in it because you were taking pictures when this was taken from my camera. Enjoy the rest of your summer! Rolly
